Amelia Island:

 

 

 

Fort Clinch State Park (beach next to Fort Clinch) - A short walking trail leads from the parking lot to the beach. It is a white leveled sandy beach. Because of the strong currents, swimming is not allowed! The entrance fee at Fort Clinch State Park is $3.- (as at: Mai 2009).

Fort Clinch State Park (beach for swimming) -  There is a broad sandy beach at Fort Clinch State Park. A wooden path leads from the parking lot to the beach and the small waves at the Atlantic Ocean. There are restrooms and showers provided.  The entrance fee at Fort Clinch State Park is $3.- (as at: Mai 2009).

Fernandina Beach (Amelia Island) Badestrand - Close to Fort Clinch State Park, there is a popular beach with a huge parking lot. Parking spaces are rare, althogh the parking lot is pretty big. After leaving Fort Clinch State Park, you must take a left on Florida State Route A1A. The beach isn’t far. (from Florida State Route A1A / Ocean Avenue you need to turn on North Fletcher Avenue). You can’t miss the parking lot. You can see it from A1A. The broad sandy beach is next to the parking lot. There is no parking fee. (as at: Mai 2009). There are lifeguards at this beach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fernandina Beach Florida State Route A1A (Amelia Island) - Along the Florida State Route A1A severall small parking lots. There is no parking fee at these small parking lots (as at: April 2010). A wooden staircase leads to the leveled sandy beach. There are no restrooms available. American Beach (Amelia Island) - Threre are no restrooms at the American Beach. Free parking is available along the roadside (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amelia Island State Park - The Amelia Island State Park is popular for fishing. Restrooms are provided at this State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $2.- at the Amelia Island State Park (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Little Talbot Island State Park:
Long boardwalks lead from the parking lot through the sandy dunes to the white leveled sandy beach at the Little Talbot Island State Park. Showers and restrooms are provided. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $5.- at the Little Talbot Island State Park (as at: April 2010). Atlantic Beach / Neptune Beach:
There are no restrooms and no showers available at this beach. Parking is at no charge for two hours (as at: April 2010). It is difficult to finde a parking space during the season, at weekends and during the holidays.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jacksonville Beach:
The beach at the city of Jacksonville Beach  is a popular beach at the Atlantic Coast near the city of Jacksonville. Showers and restrooms are provided. There is no parking fee at this beach (as at: April 2010).  It is difficult to finde a parking space during the season, at weekends and during the holidays.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Middle Beach Access:
There are various beach accesses, like the Middle Beach Access, south of Jacksonville. The parking lot is in an uninhabited area. Wooden boardwalks lead over the dunes to the leveled sandy beach. The parking fee is $3.- at the Middle Beach Access (as at: April 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ponte Vedra Beach:
There are no showers and no restrooms at the beach access to the Ponte Vedro Beach. There are shells and fragments of shells at the Ponte Vedra Beach. No parking fee is charged at this beach (as at: April 2010). More beach accesses and parking spaces exist along the Florida State Route A1A.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vilano Beach:
The Vilano Beach is situated northeast of St. Augustine. Showers and restrooms are provided at this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Vilano Beach (as at: April 2010). The parking spaces are limited.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

St. Augustine Beach:
The fine sandy beach at St. Augustine Beach is close to the Florida State Route A1A. There are only a view free parking spaces (as at: Mai 2009). There are no showers available. Restrooms are provided at St. Augustine Beach. There are more beach accesses and parking spaces further south at the Florida State Route A1A.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crescent Beach Park:
There are restrooms and showers at the Crescent Beach Park. A wooden broadway with some stairs leads to the leveled sandy beach. There is no parking fee at the Crescent Beach Park (as at: April 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fort Matanzas National Monument:
There is a small sandy beach next to Fort Matanzas. Swimming is not allowed and this beach can not be used for a day at the beach. On the opposite site of the entrance to Fort Matanzas National Monument, there is a beach were you can spend a day at the beach of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a parking fee for this beach. (as at: Mai 2009).

Marineland Beach:
The beach at Marineland Beach is situated next to the Florida State Route A1A. There are free parking spots along the roadside of Florida State Route A1A (as at: Mai 2009). Wooden stairways lead to the beautiful sandy beach. There are no showers and restrooms at the beach of Marineland Beach.

North Flagler Beach:
North of Flagler Beach, there is North Flagler Beach. The fascinating beach is situated next to the Florida State Route A1A. There are free parking spots along the roadside of Florida State Route A1A (as at: Mai 2009). Wooden stairways lead to the beautiful sandy beach. There are no showers and restrooms at North Flagler Beach.

Daytona Beach:
The beach at Daytona Beach is well known for the car races, that used to take place at this beach and for the partys during the Spring Break and the Bike Week. Cars are allowed to  drive and park on the beach at Daytona Beach. The parking fee is $5.- for a day resp. $3.- at the afternoon (as at: Mai 2009). Restrooms are provided at this beach.
