Kill Devil Hills (Beach at the Ramada Plaza Hotel):
Various beach accesses lead to the beach at the city of Kill Devil Hills. The beach access at the Ramada Plaza Hotel is for hotel guests only. The beach access is through the lobby of the hotel and at the right side of the hotel. Showers are provided at the beach. Cape Hatteras NS:
No entrance fee is charged at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. An entrance fee is only charged at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The entrance fee is $7.- (as at: October 2009).
Three beaches at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore are designated for swimming. The drive to the two southern beaches is pretty long. The beach at the Ocracoke Island can only be visited with a ferry. The transit with the ferry to the Ocracoke Island takes about 40 minutes and from the mainland (which is located west of the island) more than two hours! The Ocracoke Island and the Ocracoke Island Beach can only be visited with a ferry. During the season, at the holidays and at the weekends, it is important to reserve  (a space for the transfer of the car at the ferry) in advance.

 

 

 

Coquina Beach - The northernmost beach at Cape Hatteras National Seashores is Coquina Beach. Coquina Beach is a white sandy beach with small waves. The parking lot is paved. A small footway over the dunes leads to the beach. There are showers at Coquina Beach. Cape Hatteras Beach - The sandy beach at the Cape Hatteras Beach befindet is located close to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The previous location of the lighhouse was close to the beach. Hatteras Inlet Beach - The Hatteras Inlet Beach is located at the northern end of Ocracoke Island, at the Hatteras Inlet. This beach is situated close to the ferry to the city of Hatteras. This beach can’t be used for a day at the beach. A restroom is situated at the ferry landing.

 

 

 

 

 

Ocracoke Island Beach - The Ocracoke Island Beach is a beautiful leveled sandy beach with white sand. The Ocracoke Island and the Ocracoke Island Beach can only be visited with a ferry. During the season, at the holidays and at the weekends, it is important to reserve  (a space for the transfer of the car at the ferry) in advance. Showers and restrooms are provided at the Ocracoke Island Beach. This beach is one of the best beaches of the USA. Fort Macon State Park:
At the beach at the Fort Macon State Park, there are plant fragments and a lot of shells. Swiming, surfing and wading are not allowed at this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Fort Macon State Park (as at: Mai 2010). Restrooms are provided at the visitor center at the Fort Macon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Atlantic Beach (Alfred B. Cooper Park):
At the sandy beach at the city of Atlantic Beach, there are a few parts of shells at the sand. Various restrooms and a snack bar are situated at this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Alfred B. Cooper Park in Atlantic Beach (as at: Mai 2010). The parking space is limited at this parking lot. More beach accesses are along the main road.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salter Path Beach Access (Carteret County):
There are some parts of shells at this leveled sandy beach. A long wooden path leads from the parking lot to the beach. Restrooms, showers and grills are provided at the Salter Path Beach Access. No parking fee is charged at this beach but the parking space is limited (as at: Mai 2010). More beach accesses are along the main road.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emerald Isle Fishing Pier:
Some pieces of shells are lying at the beach at the Emerald Isle Fishing Pier. Showers and restrooms are provided. No parking fee is charged at the Emerald Isle Fishing Pier (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Caroline Beach:
Showers and restrooms are provided at the Caroline Beach. A parking fee is charged at this beach. The parking fee is $7.- per day resp. $1,25.- per hour. Shorttime parking is available at the parking meters. At the parking meters, the parking fee is one Quarter (25 Cent) for 12 minutes (as at: Mai 2010). Kure Beach Ocean Front Park / Kure Beach Pier:
Souvenirs and soft drinks are sold at the Kure Beach Ocean Front Park. A Fishing Pier is located next to the beach. No parking fee is charged at the Kure Ocean Front Park (as at: Mai 2010). The parking space is limited at this beach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fort Fisher State Recreation Area:
At the leveled sandy beach at the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, there are a few parts of shells and some small stones. Showers, foot showers, restrooms and grills are provided at this beach.
