Chicago Beaches:
Various beautiful beaches exist in the city of Chicago. Popular beaches in Chicago are the North Avenue Beach, Montrose Beach, Foster Beach and the Oak Street Beach. At Oak Street Beach, you have a beautiful view of Chicagos skyscrapers.

 

 

 

Foster Avenue Beach - There are a few small stones at the sand of the Foster Avenue Beach. Showers and restrooms are provided at this beach. Thanks to the air corridor to Chicagos airport, a lot of Airplanes are flying  over this beach. A parking fee is charged at this beach. Free parking spaces are available south of the Foster Avenue Beach (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Montrose - Wilson Beach - Some shells are at the sand of the Montrose - Wilson Beach. Showers and restrooms are provided at this beach. Thanks to the air corridor to Chicagos airport, a lot of Airplanes are flying  over this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Montrose - Wilson Beach (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

North Avenue Beach - A parking fee is charged at the North Avenue Beach. The minumal fee is $8.- for one hour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oak Street Beach - There are a view shells at the sand of the beach of the Oak Street Beach. No restrooms, no showers and no parking spaces are available at the Oak Street Beach (as at: Mai 2010). The Oak Street Beach is located next to the Lake Shore Drive / US Route 41. Pedestrians can cross the highway with a pedestrian undercross. The pedestrian undercross leads to the famous “The Drake” Hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ohio Street Beach - There are a few small stones at the sand of the small Ohio Street Beach. At this beach, there are no restrooms, showers and parking spaces available (as at: Mai 2010). The Ohio Street Beach is located next to the Lake Shore Drive / US Route 41. A parking lot is located at the Navy Pier, which is south of the Ohio Street Pier. A parking fee is charged at Chicagos Navy Pier (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

12th Street Beach - Some small stones are locted at the sand of the 12th Street Beach. Showers and restrooms are provided at this beach. A parking lot is situated next to the Adler Planetarium. A parking fee is charged at this parking lot. (as at: Mai 2010).
