Beach Overview of Michigans Beaches at the Lake Huron from the north to the south:

Michilimackinac State Park:
The beach at the Michilimac State Park is located east of the Mackinac Bridge and the Fort Michilimackinac State Park with the Colonial Michilimackinac. Stones are lying in the sand of this beach. A lighthouse is located at the Michilimackinac State Park. restrooms are provided at this beach. No parking fee is charged (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alpena: Starlight Beach Park:
A few stones are lying in the sand and the water of the beach at the Starlight Beach Park. A playground and restrooms are provided at this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Starlight Beach Park in the city of Alpena (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

Harrisville State Park:
At the shoreline of the Harrisville State Park, there are stones lying in the sand. A playground, grills, a campground and restrooms are provided at this beach. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. The sticker of the annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit must be displayed at the lower right-hand corner (passenger side of the car) (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oscoda Roadside Park:
At the sandy beach at the Oscoda Roadside Park, there are some shells lying in the sand. Grills and restrooms are provided at this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Oscoda Roadside Park (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ausable Township Shoreline Park:
Small stones are lying in the sand at the beach at the Ausable Township Shoreline Park. Grills and restrooms are provided. No entrance fee resp. parking fee is charged at this beach (as at: Mai 2010). A marina is located north of the Ausable Township Shoreline Park. The parking fee at the marina is $6.-.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tawas Point State Park:
A playground, grills and restrooms are provided at the Tawas Point State Park. At this State Park, there is also a lighthouse.  The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. East Tawas City Park & Day Use Area:
At the East Tawas City Park, there’s a playground and a campground. Grills and restroms are provided at this beach. No entrance fee resp. parking fee is charged at the East Tawas City Park & Day Use Area (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

Tawas City Beach:
Restrooms are provided at the Tawas City Beach. No entrance fee and no parking fee is charged at this beach (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bay City State Recreation Area:
At the beach at the Bay City State Recreation Area, there are a few shells and stones lying in the sand at the beach. Grills, restrooms and a campground are provided at this beach.  At the time of our visit, there was a strong smell of rotting parts of plants at this beach. The smell was probably caused by washed up plants and slowly running resp. still waters. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. Caseville County Park:
At the sandy beach of the Caseville County Park there are a few stones lying in the sand. A playground, restrooms and a campground are provided. No parking fee is charged at the Caseville County Park (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

Albert E. Sleeper State Park:
Small shells and small stones are lying in the sand  at the Albert E. Sleeper State Park. Big stones are lying in the water of the Lake Huron and underwater. Grills, restrooms and a campground are provided. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). At the beach of the Port Crescent State Park there are small shells and stones lying in the sand. Restrooms, grills and a campground are provided at this beach. Hikers must be careful at the Port Crescent State Park. At this State Park, the area is open to hunting and trapping. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). Jenks Roadside Park:
The beach at the Jenks Roadside Park is overgrown with grass. The sand is only visible in some areas of the beach. Restrooms and grills are provided at this beach. No parking fee is charged at the Jenks Roadside Park (as at: Mai 2010). The parking space is limited at this parking lot.
