Warren Dunes State Park:
Restrooms are provided ath the Warren Dunes State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. Van Buren State Park:
A playground, restrooms and showers are provided at the Van Buren State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. Saugatuck Dunes State Park:
A hiking trail leads from the parking lot to the sandy beach. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the beach. The trail leads through a forest and through the sand dunes with loose sand (the trail is not illuminated during the night). Restrooms are provided at the Warren Dunes State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. Ludington State Park:
Small stones are lying in the sand at the beach of the Ludington Beach Park. A snack bar, a campground and restrooms are provided at the Ludington State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). Orchard Beach State Park:
A steep stairway leads from the parking lot to the sandy beach of the Orchard Beach State. The beach is very narrow. A few stones are lying in the sand of the beach and some rocks and pebble stones are lying in the water. Restrooms, grills and a campground are provided at the Orchard Beach State Park. The entrance fee resp. the parking fee is $8.- per day (Day Pass) and $6.- for residents of Michigan. The Day Pass is valid for all State Parks that are visited at the same day. The annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is valid for all 98 State Parks in Michigan, that are visited within the year (valid from January 1 until December 31). The annual entrance fee is $29.- resp. $24.- for residents of Michigan. Point Betsie Lighthouse Beach:
The beach at the Betsie Lighthouse is extremely small. No restrooms are provided at this beach. A few stones are lying in the sand of the Point Betsie Lighthouse Beach. No parking fee is charged at the Point Betsie Lighthouse Beach. The parking space is extremely limited at this beach (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore:
Scenic sand dunes and picturesque white beaches at the shore of the Lake Michigan are located at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Additional swimming opportunities are nearby at small lakes. The entrance fee at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is $10.- (as at: Mai 2010).  The “America the Beautiful - Interagency Annual Pass” (formerly known as: “National Parks Pass”) is valid at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. A campground is provided at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

 

Esch Road Beach - The Esch Road is a relatively short road, that leads from the main road to the shore of the Lake Michigan. Restrooms are provided at this beach. The parking spaces are limited. The entrance fee at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore must be payed (as at: Mai 2010).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Glen Haven Beach - Small stones are lying in the sand of the beach of the Glen Haven Beach. No restrooms and no showers are provided.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Traverse City (Clinch Park):
Restrooms are provided at the beach of the Clinch Park in the city of Traverse City. A parking fee is charged at this beach. A seasonal parking permit is necessary.
